IANGEL is saddened at the loss of our dear friend and Advisory Board Member, retired Administrative Law Judge Barbara O’Hearn. We remember her with deep gratitude for her wisdom and her warmth. Barbara was a lifelong advocate for gender equality, a mentor and friend to many of us in IANGEL and in the women’s bar community, and an early and ardent supporter of IANGEL’s work. Always quick to welcome new lawyers into the fold, Barbara was generous with her time, money, and insights, in furtherance of the advancement of women in the legal profession, in society, and in the global community.
We will miss her dearly, but she will remain with us in spirit as we continue to work for gender equality locally, nationally, and globally.
