IANGEL expands traditional concepts of pro bono legal services by using free legal assistance for social change around the world.
Our pro bono volunteers can assist in multiple ways:
- Research and analysis, anywhere; Volunteer lawyers research, analyze, and summarize legal issues and facts, to help focus and inform strategy on rights;
- Direct representation, within a lawyer’s area and jurisdiction of practice; For example, a woman’s health clinic in Kansas may need an employment lawyer in Kansas, or a film-maker in California, working on a documentary about women’s rights, may need a lawyer to secure intellectual property rights or for contract negotiation;
- National and international advocacy, Using coordinated communication for action across our network, we help mobilize the advocacy needed to advance justice.
